Thought it might be appropriate to add this at this time. Whenever I post links to articles that involve modifying your system, I have either tried them myself or think others might find them usefull. In all cases the risk is yours, not mine. You, ultimately, are the admin for your own system. My only promise is to not post links to articles that would knowingly (by me) break your system.
I found this at /home/freduardo and thought it was both humorous and usefull.
BIG FAT WARNING:
These howto’s usually only describe what worked for me.
Keeping all these things in one centralized place, as a personal archive, allows me, if needed, to reconfigure systems just the way I like it without too much hassle.I will always try to supply links to other documentation as well, be it official or made by other (Linux) users.
You are of course very welcome to use these howto’s, but always use the official documentation as well, and take a look at the other links. I never think my way is the best way, and I try not to force my way onto others. Using documentation from different sources will hopefully help you in adapting it to your specific situation.
In conclusion; I’m in no way responsible if you messed up your system with them!
