Microsoft’s marketing arm excitedly churned out a case study in 2005 when the London Stock Exchange (LSE) rolled out a C# stock exchange ticker system on Windows Server 2003 and SQL Server 2000. Four years later the LSE has scrapped the whole system in favour of a Linux-based solution instead.

“A judge on Tuesday ordered Microsoft to stop selling Word, one of its premier products, in its current form due to patent infringement.Judge Leonard Davis of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas issued a permanent injunction that “prohibits Microsoft from selling or importing to the United States any Microsoft Word products that have the capability of opening .XML, .DOCX or DOCM files XML files containing custom XML,” according to a statement released by attorneys for the plantiff, i4i.”

What makes this funny is that all these items are true facts! (Unless you run Windows.) My favorite is #5, buy Vista and "upgrade" to XP, get two OS’s! In other words, buy XP for the great price of $300 instead of the usual $90. How can this man be left to walk the streets?
